No Bitchassness Allowed

This is must see TV. Diddy knows how to make reality shows interesting. The challenges on the show may seem extreme but I'm sure they are patterned after things that all the real assistants did at some point. We are just seeing everything crammed into one hour. Plus, along the way you get to hear how Diddy works and what he expects out of people that work for him. It's the business class that everyone needs.

On the first episode, the 13 contestants were broken into 2 groups of six.

Downtown Team: Mike, Stefanie, Laverne, Kendra, Deon and Boris.
Uptown Team: Rob, Red, Brianna, Georgette, Suzanne and Kim

This left one person out. Andrew was the first person sent home. Maybe if his dance moves were better he would have stayed. After the all night challenge, Georgette was eliminated. We have expressed that we want to see Laverne make it to the finals. But here are a couple of people that we think are stand out characters on the show: Kendra, Brianna, Red and Kim (AKA Poprah).

Kendra
had the best line when she was on the phone with De
on. I thought he was going to throw the phone after she made the comment that it was hard for him to multitask. Red seems to be a good guy. They say good guys finish last. New York might not be everything he dreamed it would be. Red better hope he gets to switch teams soon, because Kim is a beast (and I mean that in the best way). Kim is well on her way to being the villain of the show. Her team has already turned on her. Where are those leadership skills? Brianna has some fire in her...she took on Kim the first night.

Check out the sneak peek from episode 2 -
No Bitchassness Allowed. The wannabe assistants get kidnapped in the middle of the night. Diddy has them dropped them off in the woods for a survival/scavenger hunt to make it back to Bad Bad. Rob should be up for this challenge since he is a military man. I Want To Work For Diddy - Monday @ 9 PM EST on VH1.

Reality-palooza - Pam: Girl on the Loose & Sunset Tan

Pam: Girl on the Loose

I'm hearing people say they don't like the way the show is shot. I love the way it is shot. It's like watching a documentary. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the show. It kept my attention and made me want to keep watching. They followed Pam as she had an estate s
ale, did a photo shoot and jetted off to Vegas. I'm going to tune in next week. Below is a clip from the first show. A new episode airs Sunday @ 10 PM EST on E!

Sunset Tan

The opening scene on the first episode had one of the girl's doing a private spray tan for a former Playboy Bunny. The spray girl was asking her how to meet a good man. Well...that's what she said. But really she was saying, "How do I meet and marry a rich man like you? Just one that isn't going to cheat on me." Good luck with that.

I never knew the tanning business was so crazy. I could do without the Olly Girls, but in this overly tan superficial world...they fit. I'm curious about the relationship drama that's to come. One of the guys got a tattoo of his ex-girlfriend's name...stupid. So I'll stick around for a few more episode to see how that tattoo plays out. Sunday @ 10:30 PM EST on E!

Teen Choice Best Dance Crew

I really tried to watch the 2008 Teen Choice Awards...really I did. But it was too boring for me. I did want to see the dance crews perform. Apparently, the ACDC Crew and the M&M Crew (AKA - Miley and Mandy), have been battling on YouTube.

The ACDC Crew had guests appearances from the Jabbawockeez and Chris Brown. While M&M rocked out with LL Cool J
. Fergie announced the winner...the M&M Crew. Are you surprised?...probably not. No real surprises. That was my feeling throughout the show. But anytime I get to see the Jabbawockeez is good thing. Congrats to America's Best Dance Crew for winning Teen Choice TV Reality Dance Show.

Fanny Pak: Sad To See You Go

I'm all danced out...that's why Blacklion usually does the recaps for the dance shows. Last night on America's Best Dance Crew, it was all about the 80's...the music, the moves and the movies. Each crew performed two dance routines. The first one routine was the Grove Step Challenge - the crews were given classic dance moves and had to incorporate a physical challenge. The second routine was the Dance Movie Challenge - they had were given an 80's movie dance scene to bring it up to date.

Super Cr3w took Digital Underground's Humpty Dance into the new millennium with only 4 feet on the floor. They took the challenge and ran with it. The movie they got was Footloose. I loved the ending when did the head spin at the end. Their skill level is off the chart.

SoReal Cru brought back the Kid 'N Play
The judges called out the crew for being a little off and losing some of the energy. and had to start a chain reaction during the routine. The second routine was from the movie Breakin' with brooms as props. SoReal has never been in the bottom on the show.

Fanny Pak danced to Ice Ice Baby and at some point they had to dance horizontally. They topped it off with a real Word To Yo Mother...with pictures of their moms. Glenda's move took the dance to the next level. Flashdance was the best movie Fanny Pak could have got. I had to watch it again because it was so good.

The bottom 2
crews were Super Cr3w and Fanny Pak. Last week Shane said he would quit if Super Cr3w was in the bottom 2. Well...he didn't walk off the set when they ended up in the bottom 2. Not that I thought he would. JC said that SoReal Cru didn't out dance the crews that were in the bottom. All the crews were good...but I did feel like last night should have been the finals. As usual Blacklion was right...the vote was probably split between the West coast crews and that is why they ended up in the bottom.

I just want to thank Lil Mama for getting her hair done this week. I'm so tired of seeing that glittery baseball cap!! She looks so much better without it. The YouTube that shit award goes to Fanny Pak's last performance with a tribute to the movie 'Flashdance'. They had the judges down...especially Lil' Mama. But they have me a little curious...is Shane slapping people in the butt?? It was very funny. Week after week Fanny Pak blow my mind with routines that made me forget who else danced that night. They are winners and I know this show will open doors for them. Much Respect Fanny Pak!! Don't forget to VOTE!!

Joshua Is America's Favorite Dancer

My Dance Crush WON "So You Think You Can Dance"...Joshua Allen!!!

He received $250,000 and the title of America's Favorite Dancer. He was also offered a movie role in Step It Up 3D. It will be the first feature length dance movie shot in 3D.

The judges each picked their favorite routines from the season. Nigel choose the Bollywood routine that Joshua and Katee performed. Mary picked the rumba with Courtney and Gev. Adam introduced the guys from the movie Step It Up and the ACDC dance crew. Then Twitch and Comfort did the hip-hop routine to Forever by Chris Brown that Adam liked. Lil C and his very long analogies to say he picked the routine to Bleeding Love performed by Mark and Chelsie. Mia wanted to see the Pas de Deux that Katee and Will did on the show.

The had a dance off between Philip Chbeeb and Robert Muraine. Both are poppers that made it to the Vegas round but one was advised not to go and the other one quit. They battled to Stronger by Kanye West. The performance brought the judges and the crowd to their feet. The judges picked Robert Muraine as the winner.

Mary got out of the judges chair and took the stage in her own dance number. You work it Mary!!
Adam's second pick was a routine called Garden performed by Mark and Courtney. The cast of Criss Angel's Believe performed a number choreographed by Wade Robson. Dancers from the Debbie Allen Dance Company did a tap routine that included Nigel. You know he wasn't going to let Mary have all the fun. Mary's second pick was the number between Twitch and Katee dancing to Mercy by Duffy. That was the one with the door and a passionate kiss. Also the Jonas Brothers did a song off their new CD. Debbie wanted to see Twitch and Kherington dancing to A New Day Has Come by Celine Dion. Nigel picked the last routine of the night and it was one of my favorites as well. It was Katee and Joshua dancing to No Air by Jordan Sparks feat. Chris Brown.

Some of the best dancers from seasons past performed with this seasons dancers. The first person to be eliminated was Courtney. The second person to be let go was Katee. As the top girl in the competition, Katee received $50,000. Leaving Joshua and Twitch as the final 2. This is the first season 2 hip-hop dancers have made it to the end. Well...you already know Joshua wins. Look out for the tour coming to a city near you. Tickets are on sale now.

Project Runway - Rings Of Glory

The Project Runway designers have to create an outfit for the opening ceremony of the Olympics. The focus was on women's wear for the USA Team. Guest Judge this week was Apolo Ohno. Poor Blayne...his tan is fading. Maybe someone on the crew will sneak him some self tanner. He should just steal some bronzer from one of the models or out of the make-up room. Most of the designers missed the point of the challenge. I don't know what they were thinking. It's the Olympics...that's the theme.

The Top 3 were Korto, Terri and Joe. I really liked Terri's look and Joe nailed the athletic part. Korto was the winner of the challenge with a clean and modern white suit (
Design by Korto, Modeled by Katrina-photo from Bravo.com). She got immunity but I guess they weren't going to mass produce it for the Olympic team. I was hoping to see that happen.

The bottom 3 were Daniel, Jennifer and Jerell. Daniel's purple dress (She from the Republic of Cocktail Land) and Jerell's 20's costume was a little much for the judges to swallow. Ok...I told you Jennifer wasn't going to last much longer. She was sent home this week. Finally they put her out of her misery. The judges said it was too hard for her to separate her personal style from the challenge and it looked silly.

Next week Brooke Shields in dropping in on the designers. If you need a pose by pose recap check out David Dust Blog. You will thank me!

Birthday Wishes

To our Spoil The Ending blogger...Blacklion!!

Dancing Thru The Finale

The final 4 (Joshua, Twitch, Katee and Courtney) took the So You Think You Can Dance stage last night for the final vote. This time all the dancers performed together as couples. For the first time Courtney & Katee and Twitch & Joshua danced together. Everyone performed a solo number but I would have thought those would have been a little longer...they did have 2 hours to burn.

I thought the guys Russian Nutcracker was really good (clip below). And Joshua can jump higher!! It looked amazing on TV...it was probably crazy in person. I think it's great that there are 2 hip-hop dancers in the finals. Even if I don't consider either of them as just hip-hop dancers anymore. During Katee's one-on-one, they showed the clip of her in the audition telling the judges she wouldn't come back. Look at her know...in the finals. I hope her friend goes back next year. Twitch did his best James Bond impression for Nigel. It was cute!

Kind words all around from the judges. But they are not the ones voting. Who did you vote for? I love them all but Joshua is my dance crush...but Twitch is really close. Tonight @ 8/7 c the winner will be announced!!

Justin Survived A Japanese Game Show

Last night was the season finale of I Survived A Japanese Game Show. Justin Wood, a Financial Representative from Alabama, is the winner and received $250,000.

The final 4 contestants ran through the streets of Tokyo and competed in more strange challenges to determine the winner. The top 3 had a loved one come watch them compete. The final 2, Justin and Donnell, received tickets for a return trip to Japan and a certificate from a Japanese official. After 2 very long hours of them trying to stretch the show the winner was named. The most interesting part was what the game show host and crew were saying...and YES you had to read the subtitles. They were very funny!!

You can watch the full episode on ABC.com.

Grand Champions!

The great tournament that is the revamped American Gladiators ended its second season. The winners were Ally Davidson and Tim Oliphant. Tim qualified for the finale with an eliminator time of 1:13, and with bruises and stitches, beat out choreographer Mike Gamble-- for some reason I remember his full name! Ally tried out for the show on her wedding day and stayed in the game after her husband was beat out in the semi-finals. I would not be down for physical competition as a honeymoon. She beat out Tiffany, who lost her head start on the cargo net.

They won a Toyota Sequoia and $100,000, but no mentions of becoming future gladiators. I think they have enough gladiators! No word of on site casting, but you can fill out the app and send in your audition video, check the official
site for more details.

Psych Flashback: That's Incredible!

Psych Flashback: That's Incredible!

On Psych, Shawn reminded me about a show we use to watch all the time. But when I looked at the clips on YouTube, I didn't remember it...but I had a great laugh looking at that set. Gotta love 80's shows. Check out the clip of the opening sequence to the 1980's show "That's Incredible!" starring John Davidson, Cathy Lee Crosby and Fran Tarkenton. Do you remember it?

New episode of Psych this Friday @ 10/9c on USA.

Sneak Peek: Project Runway - Episode 4

The designers take another field trip, this time they go to The Armory Track and Field Center. They meet Apolo Ohno, five time Olympic medalist and guest judge for this week. For one designer, there's too much drama because there's too many queens around!

Project Runway airs Wednesdays @ 9/8c on Bravo.

Diddy Should Hire Her!!

The contestant that we are looking forward to seeing on I Want To Work For Diddy is Laverne Cox. This transgender woman has our attention. She is fabulous!!

She is originally from Alabama but moved to New York. Laverne is trained in acting, dancing and singing. Triple threat people. She is a host for a cable show called “Out at the Center.” But she isn't stopping there...she is also credited as a producer for the docu-series “t” (beingt.com).
She is going to show the world she has what it takes to be a star. (Photo and bio info from LaverneCox.com)

The show with Diddy will make her a household name.
I just hope she hangs in there until the end!! I Want To Work For Diddy premieres Tonight - Monday, August 4th @ 9/8c PM on VH1.

The clip below is Britney Houston and her version of the Pussycat Dolls (featuring Laverne Cox as one of the dolls) remaking the video "When I Grow Up." Love it!!

Set Your TiVO - Luke’s Parental Advisory

Luke’s Parental Advisory

Luther “Uncle Luke” Campbell has been known as the raunchiest man in Hip Hop, a musical mastermind and even activist for constitutional rights. But he is best known as the hype man for 2 Live Crew, the hip hop group and pioneer of the modern music video featuring scantily clad girls.

The show will follow his day-to-day activities as Luke juggles fatherhood with two teenage children, while running his adult business Luke Entertainment Group and planning a wedding with his lawyer fiancée Kristin.

Luke’s Parental Advisory starting tomorrow - August 4th @ 10:30 PM on VH1. Check out the sneak peek of the show below (more clips at VH1.com). Let us know what you think about the show.

Mr. Bentley Transforms G's On Wendy

Mr. Bentley tells Wendy Williams about his new show From G's To Gents. Wendy watches the show and her favorite "G" is our boy Cee. We will have to ask Cee about being Wendy's favorite. Charlamagne does man on the street and asks women what kind of men they want - G's or Gents?

Mr. Bentley gives makeovers to three G's and transforms them into Gentleman. The Gent looks had a little too much pink for my taste...a couple could have stayed G's.

From G's to Gents
airs Tuesdays @ 10 PM ET/PT on MTV.

Part 2 - Mr. Bentley has a From G's To Gents makeover/fashion show

I Love Money - Cry Me A River

Last week on I Love Money, the cross team alliances were brought to the surface. New alliances are formed across team lines. The crying game was themes after all the shows great crying scenes. Each team member has to produce one tear that rolls down past their nose. The Gold Team picks Hoopz to sit out the challenge. Lucky her!!

12 pack slaps Toastee to get her to cry.
Pumkin puts cayenne pepper in her eye to produce a tear. You know that was burning. The Gold Team wins the challenge because Real and Brandi C. couldn't cry. Back at the house, everyone is kissing up to Toastee...except Destiney. Destiney (photo from VH1.com) and the Entertainer plot to have a fake fight to make it looks like they are breaking up. Everyone is so drunk and wild they don't even notice them. So much for that plan. When it gets time for the vote, the host tells them he is staying in the volt with them and he will be the only person to touch the checks. All the previous fighting in the volt caused the change. I'm going to miss the fighting. Brandi C. volunteers to go in the box. Then the team votes for Destiney to be in the box. But in a twist, Real volunteers to go in the box.

For the power outing, Toastee and the bottom 3 go snorkeling. Real spots a shark in the water and he heads for the shore. Destiney tries to make a case that Real is the strongest player and should be sent home. Toastee picks Real for the one-on-one time. When they get back the Entertainer tried to talk Toastee into keeping Destiney. The Gold Team had a meeting and Toastee announced that she was thinking about sending Real home. That move doesn't help her spot with the alliance.

At elimination, Toastee sticks to her alliance with the Stallionaire's and keeps Real. At least the Entertainer got one more kiss before Destiney left. I think his family will like Destiney...as long as they don't move into the basement together.

Team Captains:
  • Gold Team - Toastee (Wins Crying Challenge - Score 6 to 4 tears)
  • Green Team - Real
New Alliances:
  • Real, Chance, Whiteboy, Hoopz, Pumkin, Toastee
  • Destiney, Entertainer, 12 pack, Heather
Loving More Than Money:
  • Entertainer and Destiney
  • Heather and 12-pack
Up For Elimination:
  • Brandi C.
  • Destiney
  • Real
Eliminated:
  • Destiney

Set Your TiVo - MTV Tr3s Fashionista

MTV Tr3s Fashionista, is an upcoming style special, set to premiere on August 16th @ 2PM EST. I would consider changing my cable plan just to see this show.

The show will feature hot performances and fashions from top designers.
R&B singer Lloyd performed his hit single "Girls Around The World" with rapper Pitbull. From the top pic you can see former America's Next Top Model contestants Jade Cole (cycle 6) to the left of Lloyd and the model on the far right looks like Mercedes Yvette Scelba-Shorte (ANTM cycle 2). I haven't seen Mercedes since that Chili's commercial...I love that commercial.

Danity Kane member Aubrey O’ Day took time out of her busy schedule to hit the catwalk. ANTM cycle 8 winner Jaslene Gonzalez (bottom pic) rocked the runway in a very tight dress. I hope Russell Simmons watches the show (Jaslene you need to upgrade). The show will also showcase performances from Nina Sky, Kinky and RKM & Ken Y. Sucker Free Latino’s L.Boogs and Natalie Martinez of Fashion House, served as hosts for the show.

MTV Tr3s Fashionista participating designers included (partial list):
Marc by Marc Jacobs, LRG, Puma, Clara Glez, Ricardo Seco, Triko, Mimi Turner, Santana by Carlos Santana - footwear, Republica - eyewear, Cosa Nostra, Christian Audigier, Paco Chicano, Splendid, H&M, Kenneth Cole, I.N.C, Steve Madden, Luxirie and Ella Moss.
