VIDEO: Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It

"Bret Michaels: Life As I Know It" is a look inside his home and work life. As most of you know...I'm a Bret Michaels fan!! Most people are use to seeing the Rock Of Love guy and now Celebrity Apprentice showed everyone how creative he is. I glad we get to see the family man side. This show was taped before the health issues. I look forward to more episodes. I have the full episode posted below but you can also see it at VH1.com.

Les Is More @ The MTV Movie Awards

Best moment of the 2010 MTV Movie Awards was Tom Cruise as Director Les Grossman from the movie "Tropic Thunder" and Jennifer Lopez doing a dance number. The show was filled with more curse words than any rap awards show ever! Not that it was a good thing...but it did seem like a distraction from the fact the show wasn't as good as I hoped.

The Bachelor's Pick & The New Bachelorette

Tonight was the finale of The Bachelor: On The Wings of Love. YES...I watched it. Jake was down to Vienna and Tenley. Both girls had the opportunity to meet Jake's family and have a final date. The family immediately fell in love with Tenley...TEAM TENLEY. This made Vienna's visit a little hard at first, but she won them over after telling them how much she loved Jake.

During the final date with Tenley, Jake said they didn't have physical chemistry. The writing was on the wall at that point. In the end Jake went with Vienna. Not the popular pick but he went with his heart. On the after the rose show, Jeffery Osbourne came out to sing the theme for the show..."On The Wings Of Love." I hope The Soup gets him to come on this Friday!! I'm waiting Joel!!

The announcement was made for the new Bachelorette. And the unlucky lady of love is...Ali from this season of The Bachelor. Her season will begin in May. I liked her on the show, but it would have been nice to get a girl that didn't lose on The Bachelor first. I get it...the audience has a connection to her. But aren't their other women that would like to be The Bachelorette?? Oh well...maybe next time. Ali, I hope you get some great clothes, amazing vacations and oh yeah...find love.

For the first time in Bachelor history there is going to be a wedding. Jason will marry his fiance Molly. I know your think what about the other couple that got married?? Well they were from The Bachelorette. I wonder if we should really count this one because he didn't pick her at first. Jason and Molly will say "I DO" for the world to see. Tune in next Monday (3/8/10) night @ 8PM ET on ABC for The Bachelor: Jason and Molly's Wedding.

Sprite Step Off -- on TV and approaching ATL!

Check it out -- I'm posted on a site that used to have print product! My day-job stalled on posting it so we took the post on the road. A friend and I went to the Central Region leg of the Sprite Step Off in Chicago a while back and had a blast. Ludacris brought the house down, while Wale... well... I love the album! I didn't realize that "All The Way Turnt Up" by Roscoe Dash ft. Soulja Boy was tha jam or that Trey Songz's "Say Aah" had certified banga status until that night. I also didn't realize that my post was relevant to this site until I discovered the Sprite Step Off mini-series airing on MTV2.

The reality/documentary is hosted (but they really mean narrated) by Ludacris and follows 3 fraternities & 3 Sororities in the Southwest (ex. Texas) and Southeast (ex. Florida & Georgia) regions on their path to win Nationals. Ultimately, it's like a 3 hour True Life episode-- annoyingly split up into parts. Of course there is a non-African-American sorority in the fold, so it's guaranteed to be hater-rific.

Much love to the event planners for the Sprite Step Off. They had their shit together! You can find the tour on twitter and the remaining regional competitions are selling out! Act quick to get your ticket for Nationals in Atlanta on February 20th! As for the TV show, tune into MTV2, Sundays at 3pm for new episodes. It's only one episode deep, so jump right in.

VMA 2009 Moments

Just when you think the VMAs is going to be another boring show...craziness breaks out.
  • Sharkira and Pink show up on the red carpet in the same dress - You know someone is going to get fired over that one.
  • Janet Jackson kills it on stage in a tribute to Michael - If you were checking out the performance then you saw Laurie Ann from Making The Band and someone said Chris Judd was dancing too.
  • SYTYCD and ABDC alums on the show
  • Kanye West interrupts Taylor Swift as she was accepting her Best Female Video Award speech - Video below...well until Viacom takes it down again. After that the word was MTV kicked him out.
  • Boooooing every time someone said Kanye's name
  • Beyonce winning but let Taylor come back on stage to finish her speech - To bad she didn't take time to thank Beyonce.
  • Lady Gaga and all her outfits, her date Kermit the Frog and the bloody performance - SMH....
  • Lil Mama popping up in stage at the end of Jay-Z's performance - Just odd...
  • If you watched the ABDC VMA Challenge...the two best crews of the show were in the bottom...Check out our recap.

A quick shout out to everyone in the BloggingBestDanceCrew.com and GlobalGrind.com chat rooms during the show.

Project Runway Is Back...oh yeah and the models

Last week was the season premiere of Project Runway. My internet went down so I didn't do an official recap from all the runway action. So here is my rundown, yeah it's late but why not.

It was good seeing all the past designers in the Project Runway All-Star Challenge. The designers include Daniel Vosovic, Santino Rice, Jeffrey Sebelia, Uli Herzner, Mychael Knight, Chris March, Sweet P and Korto Momolu. It was interesting to hear what they have been up to since their time on the show.

The photo to the left is from the red carpet look in Chris March's collection...check out the model. It's Mountaha from season 2 of Make Me A Supermodel. If you didn't watch the show...the winner of $100,000 was Daniel Vosovic from season 2.

Project Runway had special guest judge Lindsay Lohan. The challenge was to create a red carpet look that reflects their point of view. One of my favorite designers so far is Christopher Straub. Really feeling his style and he was the winner of the first challenge.

Lifetime added a new show...Models of the Runway. It was boring!!! I would rather watch a rerun of America's Next Top Model. I don't see why the winning model gets a prize...they should make them share the prize with the designer. Maybe it will get better (doubt it...one hour too much Lifetime). At least I know my TiVo will delete it to make room for other shows.

Catch an all new episode of Project Runway airing today - Thursday, August 27 @ 10PM ET/PT and Models of the Runway follows @ 11PM ET/PT on Lifetime.

BET Awards '09: The Good, The Bad & The Ugly

Last night (6/28/09) was the BET Awards/Michael Jackson Tribute. The night was filled with highs and lows. You still have to give it up the BET Staff for doing the best they could in a short amount of time. Shout out to all the people in the GlobalGrind.com chatroom last night (Illmatic, NYShorty, CeeGee2009, Emma, Ahseya_ayesha and everyone else). Very Entertaining!!

Here are a few of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly moments from the show.

THE GOOD
  • Janet Jackson coming out to thank the fans on behalf of the family. Thank you Janet we really needing to hear that!! (Video #1)
  • Jamie Foxx performing Blame It with T-Pain. Along with special guests Snoop Dogg (still not sure why he was out there) and Travis Barker from Blink 182.
  • Jamie Foxx and Martin Lawrence teaming up as Sheneneh and Wanda in Skank Robbers...VERY FUNNY!! (Video #2)
  • Day 26's performance at the pre-show after winning Best Group.

THE BAD
  • Young Money - Drake, Lil Wayne, Baby (Birdman) performance...well what you could hear of it after all the bleeps.
  • Keri Hilson's performance of Turning Me Off/Knock You Down.
  • Pleasure P/Marcus Cooper running out of breath singing his own song during the pre-show. Not sure if I can call it singing...he just talked most of the lyrics.
  • Ving Rhames coming out with Tyrese and Taraji P. Henson for a Baby Boy movie flashback that didn't work.
THE UGLY
  • Drake, Lil Wayne, Baby (Birdman) for having little girls on stage as they perform Every Girl. Not a good look!!
  • The sound guy not have the mics loud enough for the presenters and the person that was doing the bleeps missing most of the words that needed to be bleeped...like Eddie Levert's slip. LIVE TV...Gotta Love It!!
  • Tiny and Toya promoting their new BET show. They say isn't a Baby Mama show. What else is it?? Picture below of Tiny accepting T.I.'s award for Viewers' Choice and her celebrity look-a-like Miss Piggy. It's the hair.
