Roaches On A Bus

This news story gave me the creepy crawlies. A bus leaving Atlantic City on its way to New York had a few extra passengers. Those poor people were stuck on the bus with roaches coming from the seats and the ceiling. That bus driver would have to pull over and get me another way home after seeing those roaches. CRAZY!!!

Rent Party Christmas from The Rent Is 2 Damn High Guy

Just when you think nothing can surprise you...something like this comes up. This morning we were watching Good Day New York and Jimmy McMillan was on performing his new songs - "My Place" and "Rent Party Christmas." McMillan run for the New York Governor's office this year using the tag line "The Rent Is 2 Damn High."

The first song, My Place, was too creepy for my taste. Something about him holding the doll in his likeness and talking about "doing it while mopping"...SO WRONG!!! Someone really should have checked the lyrics before letting this get on TV. Then he started singing his Christmas song. The part about Santa getting evicted because he couldn't pay rent isn't something you want to play for the kiddies.

Model Catches Fire @ Diddy-Dirty Money Party

It was a wild night for Diddy-Dirty Money at the "Last Train to Paris" release party. A model's hair caught on fire at the party. Well...she is sitting in a tub with candles behind her...Weave + Candles = FIRE!!! I guess the sad thing is that the guys (Kevin Hart, Fabolous and Trey Songz) don't look like they helped at all. They just up. I guess she should be glad she was sitting in water because they didn't even throw a drink on her.

The good news is that the model is fine...no serious injury.

Good Day NY Has Kids Passing Out Over Glee

You gotta love Good Day New York. Something is always happening. Today one of the reporters was at a local high school to promote Glee. Check out the clip below to see the interview. At the 1:10 mark, watch the boy in the right hand corner of the screen. He just falls over. The show must go on...YES...the glee club goes into their performance of  "America The Beautiful." After the performance, they do inquire about the child but call the boy a girl. He seemed to be OK. When is Julie coming back?

American Idol or American Stripper Auditions?

This morning as we watched Good Day NY, I wasn't sure what I was watching. American Idol is in Jersey City today doing auditions for the new season. One of my favorite reporters, Julie Chang was out interviewing contestants and family as they wait for their chance to sing for Randy, J-Lo and Steven. Julie got a family to tell a cute story about contestant Tiffany. She is a BIG J-Lo fan!! It was going really good until till Tiffany showed up with sliver stars on her breast. Don't get me wrong, she did have a top on...it was a zebra print bikini top. So Jersey!!! Please let her make it to Hollywood.

No More Kimora And Baby Phat

After 14 years (has it really been that long), Kimora Lee Simmons is leaving Baby Phat and Phat Fashions. According to Eonline.com, the separation will be complete as of Sept. 1, 2010. See what Kimora has to say about leaving Phat Fashions.

Kimora has a number of other ventures to keep her busy. Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane, her show on the Style Network, is shooting their 4th season. I hope the cameras catch all of the changes. Not to mention her other clothing lines...The KLS collection, Kouture by Kimora (in Macy's) and Fabulosity (in JCPenney).

Death During Olympic Training

The 2010 Winter Olympics start tonight but there has already been a tragedy.

A luger from the nation of Georgia fatally crashed during a practice run in Vancouver. Nodar Kumaritashvili was 21 years old.

"G" Goes To Jail

I would have never thought I would hear anything like this. Former MTV "From G's To Gents" reality show star, Markice “Kesan” Moore, turned himself into the Atlanta police today accused of beating his infant daughter.

According to BET.com, the Cobb County police said Kesan allegedly broke both of his daughter’s arms, a leg, three ribs and a collarbone along with causing several bruises across her body. When watching him on MTV, we always thought he was the one to look out for...mostly because he was a little crazy. Especially after he punched one of his former cast members at the reunion show (clip below).

NYC Mornings Get Brighter With Ed Lover & Malikha Mallette

Congratulation to Malikha Mallette for her move to co-host of The Ed Lover Morning Show on New York's Power 105.1 FM.

It was announced yesterday (Dec. 2, 2009) that Malikha will be added to the morning show crew and DJ Envy will hold it down from 2-6PM. I have to say I really like the verbal sparing between Ed and Malikha. When she filled in when Free was on vacation, I was very entertained. Two words...Trey Songz!! Malikha definitely has a voice and isn't the typical YES MAN(Woman) radio co-host. You may have also seen her on One Life To Live and in national commercial spots.

Malikha Mallette stated: "I was flattered when Cadillac offered me the position, yet leaving my own Afternoon show is bittersweet. However, the opportunity to do morning radio in NYC with a legend like Ed Lover was a no brainer! Bring on the morning madness!"

Kandi Suffers Another Loss

Kandi Burruss, from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, received tragic news last night. Her fiance (or ex-fiance), AJ (Ashley Jewell) was killed in an Atlanta strip club. AJ was a promoter for the club and was caught in a brawl. He didn't survivor the head injuries from the fight.

Kandi is currently caring for 2 of AJ's daughters. He leaves behind 6 children. Kandi's uncle recently passed away. Our prayers go out the families.

I Had Sex With Staff - David Letterman

A CBS producer is arrested for trying to extort $2 million from talk show host David Letterman. Letterman admitted to having sexual affairs with some of the female staffers on his show. Really...who wouldn't sleep with David Letterman? It's Letterman...he's funny, rich, probably/maybe single at the time. I guess we will have to wait and see if there will be any issues between CBS and Letterman over this. Does your opinion about him change after hearing the story??

Suicide Ends Manhunt

According to the Associated Press, Ryan Jenkins was found dead in a hotel room from an apparent suicide. He fled to Canada and was found in Hope, east of Vancouver.

The police were looking for reality show (Megan Wants A Millionaire) contestant Ryan Jenkins in connection for the murder of his ex-wife Jasmine Fiore. Jasmine's body found in a dumpster and was identified by her breast implants...because her finger and teeth were removed. This is such a sad story.

Killer Reality

If you haven't heard by now, a contestant from the VH1 reality show Megan Wants A Millionaire is on the run. Millionaire Ryan Jenkins has a warrant issued for his arrest. His ex-wife Jasmine Fiore was found murdered in a dumpster about 30 miles from her apartment. For more information check out InsideEdition.com.

VH1 has canceled any further airings of Megan Wants A Millionaire and removed the show page from their site. They replaced it with an official statement:

Ryan Jenkins was a contestant on Megan Wants A Millionaire, an outside production, produced and owned by 51 Minds, that is licensed to VH1. The show completed production at the end of March. Given the unfortunate circumstances, VH1 has postponed any future airings. This is a tragic situation and our thoughts go out to the victim’s family.

I guess it was only a matter of time before something like this happened. I'm sure Megan is glad she didn't pick him. I was surprised VH1 pulled the show so quickly...it's a good thing...but I'm sure this would have gave the show higher ratings.

Sister of Grey's Anatomy Actress Goes Missing

Lesley Harring has been missing for 6 weeks after a fight with her husband, says actress Aasha Davis. You may remember seeing Davis on Grey's Anatomy and Friday Night Lights. CBS's Julie Chen speaks to Aasha about her sister and the LAPD's efforts to locate her.

When Top Model Turns Into Survivor

I was there and I could not believe the chaos and the lack of order and care from the top model organization.

I stood outside in the freezing cold from 8:00am until 7:30 almost 8pm. I waited in a line that circled the entire block. It was the longest block I have and will ever walk. From the beginning there was no order, just thousands of other women with the same application that said to meet at an address that was not where it was said to be.

I hadn't slept in 24hours preparing for the audition I hadn't eaten a thing Thirsty, extremely in need of a bathroom and my energy running on the hopes that I could be "America's next top model."

Finally I am 3/4 of the way there and I can see the door but the line is only moving 3 inches every 45mins. I am in a place of anger yet knowing the other girls around me were suffering the same cold weather, the same dreams, and the same physical pain and endurance, I was given some comfort.

We even became Friends and worked as a unit to keep each other warm. I was thinking when did this become an episode of Survivor? Now to the Chaos The line went from one wide side walk to a very wide city street in width around 12pm There was a car that had hit a barricade and was over heating there was smoke filling the air and then next thing we hear is " it's going to explosed, it's on Fire! I am closest to the walk and was smashed into it. All of us on top of one another.

There was no way to get out or move so I tried to slip down so if it blew I would have a better change of not getting my hair mess up or my head blown off. Then the cops tried to calm us down saying its not going to blow, easier said then done especially with some random strangers hands on your behind and you can't tell who's legs are who's.

As we are still crushed by the pressure from the thousand of girls in front and behind us, even more chaos broke out when a man runs into the crowd where he pulls out some young girl and starts to beat her, as the cops come to get him he charges back into the crowd saying he has a gun and we heard something that sound like gunshot but that could not be confirmed. that is where it got even worst everyone running in to each other trying to get away from danger.

I was now not being smashed against the wall but between people. It was like playing a game of life and death twister. I had moved a lot not even using my legs, my feet were no longer on the ground. I was being propel forward by force. my ribs and lungs were being crushed and I started to lose consciousness and could not breath. There was a girl on top of me who started to have a seizure and or was hyperventilating I had to pull myself together so I could help her.

When they say you want to be on top I had no idea this is what they meant. after we had finally broke free the police said it is over go home. I became furious. How could they do this to us!

*First we come out here with them not giving us any order or communication about whats going on

*Second we stand in the freezing cold on a Saturday for hours and for some days.

*Third those that were there waiting for these hours and days were cut in line from people that showed up late and formed their own line, not to mention they got in.

*Fourth and most importantly our lives were in dangered and our dreams shattered.

*Fifth we were treated like animals no food, no water, no bathroom, no order and no one to care.

After everything was said and done we could not even get an apology, a thank you for coming out, an explanation, a sorry you came wasted your time and almost died as well as your dreams being scattered on the streets of NYC along with your belongings.

It was another slap in the face. I Lauren Amaris was checked out by ambulance but chose not to go to hospital, due to I can not afford it. I am at home recovering with bruises, swelling, I am still walking with a limp due to the trauma my legs experience, I am having back pains and possible whiplash.

I will be ok, but what's not ok is the lack of care that was shown for the people that came out to be apart of this great opportunity. I love Tyra Banks and what she stands for and the traumatizing experience that occurred this past Saturday March 14th 2009, I pray her and her team Right this wrong.

Chaos @ NYC America's Next Top Model Audition

Today (3/14/09) the New York audition for America's Next Top Model cycle 13 took a shocking turn. Six people were injured and three people arrested outside the Park Central Hotel where the audition was held.

A smoking car pulled up next to the women waiting in line, causing someone to cry "fire" causing a mass panic. During the confusion, someone saw a man jump out of a car and started grabbing purses.

After waiting in line over night, those poor girls fled when the chaos broke out. Many of them leaving their chairs, sleeping bags and clothes in the street. All this drama just for the audition...Season 13 should be an exciting one.
