starts airing on HUB (my new favorite channel) today. Nothing like kicking things off with a mini marathon @ 2p ET. OUTRAGEOUS!! See Jerrica Benton inherit Starlight Music, Starlight House and Synergy to become JEM.
Below is a clip from the TV Guide's Hollywood 411. They were on the set of the movie "The Princess And The Frog." The stars (Anika Noni Rose, Terrance Howard and Oprah) talked about working on the movie.
Check out the clip below from behind the scenes of the Holiday Music Video from The Cleveland Show featuring Earth, Wind & Fire. This looks interesting...can't wait to see the full video.
Check out this cute clip from the new Disney movie The Princess and the Frog. It's of Princess Tiana singing "Almost There."

Here's my rock star look-a-like pictures. The first picture is of Riot (Rory Lewellyn) from the 80's cartoon Jem and The Holograms. He was the leader of The Stingers rock group. Riot spent most of his time trying to win Jem's heart from Rio. The second picture is of rock and reality show icon Bret Micheals. We loved him man as the lead singer for the group Poison. Bret took his search for love to TV with his hit VH1 reality show Rock of Love. I love them both.
I thought I was going crazy when I saw the new Burger King commercial. It was hard to believe that they used Baby Got Back for a kids meal commercial. I get it...but for a minute it seemed a little inappropriate with all the butt action. Flashback to my mom's face as me and my sister did similar dance moves around our pre-teen years. Not a good look.
Here is a look-a-like picture I thought you might enjoy. The first picture is of Nel (from the Bleach anime) and the other is of Pumkin (from I Love Money season 1). Dont' cry ladies...the 2nd season of I Love Money premieres Monday, Feb. 2 @ 9 PM EST on VH1.
The following clips prove to me that I'm not the only person thinking these videos were meant to be fused together. The music video for "Pop Champagne" by Jim Jones is like a live action version of "Homies Over Hoes" from the Boondocks. YouTube is a wonderful thing!!
During the Christmas episode of Psych, Shawn and Gus bust out the Charlie Brown dance. LOVE IT! I can't wait for the new season of Psych starting on Friday, January 9 @ 10p/9c on USA.
Check out this clip from tonight's (11/16/08) new episode of Family Guy. Watch the full show @ 9/8c on FOX.
Tonight (9/14/08) is the Culture Klash interview with some of the cast from Jem & The Holograms - Jem (Samantha Newark), Shana Elmsford (Cindy McGee), Giselle "Danse" Dvorak (Desirée Goyette) and Synergy (Marlene Aragon).
I'm so excited about the upcoming Culture Klash show. They will have cast members from Jem & The Holograms on their show.
Is it true...a Jem Movie? It's been rumored for awhile that a movie about Jem and the Holograms was coming to the big screen. Hasbro has registered the domain names for what could be the possible sites. Hummmm....We just wanted to let everyone know, thanks to Dragonielle for posting it on the JemCon.org message board, that Hasbro has officially registered JemMovie.com and JemAndTheHologramsMovie.comThis post really put my mind into overdrive. This could be a dream come true or a nightmare for all true Jem fans. Should I be afraid...probably so. The Transformers movie was successful at the box office. But not all Transformer fans were happy with the latest version. I remember sitting in the theater an
The website domains were registered in February of 2008 and will remained registered until 2011. This along with the recent trademark updates to the Jem and Jem and the Holograms brands/trademarks/etc. could be a great sign that there is something JEM related in the work at Hasbro.
d thinking...Why?? And the new live action G.I. Joe movie will be out in 2009. It looks like they are making a movie that fans can enjoy along with new toys for the kids. I just want to be able to see the action...not just hear stuff blowing up.
Shana from Jem and the Holograms
Shana Elmsford is the Fashion Designer, Drummer, Bass Guitarist and Backup Vocalist for one of my favorit
e pop/rock groups...Jem and the Holograms. I couldn't let Black History Month go by without putting a spotlight on Shana. Ok...she's an 80's cartoon character...but she rocks!! Truly Outrageous!!
Shana was a foster girl who grew up at Starlight House (the foster home that Jerrica and Kimber's family ran). She designed most of the clothes for the band and was showcased in a few episodes as a top designer. Shana briefly left the band to pursue her dream of being a professional fashion designer. During her absents from the band they hired Raya to play the drums in her place. When Shana returned to the group she started playing bass guitar. The girl got skills!!
She dated Ant
hony Julian the talented director that shot some of their music videos and movie. He supported Shana in her career moves. When he got the job working on a mini-series...he hooked her up with the star/producer Liz Stratton to get the job as a designer for the show. The character Shana was voiced by Cindy McGee and Anthony was voiced by T.K. Carter.
