Ready For "The Game"

I'm very excited about the new season of The Game starting tomorrow (1/11/11 @ 10/9c) on BET. I can't wait to see what's happening with for all of our favorite characters. I've been counting down since the show ended.

Check out the video below of The Game stars Tia Mowry and Wendy Raquel on the Wendy Williams Show.

We were watching the news last night and they were interviewing Jason Taylor from the NY Jets. The first thing I said was, "It's Jason Pitts." What do you think of the pic? I know...I really have The Game on my mind. Thank you BET for giving me some scripted TV worth watching!!

It's "What You Do" Pooch

I was going to post this awhile back...sorry for not getting it up sooner. It's the video for Chrisette Michele's new song "What You Do" featuring Pooch Hall from The Game.

Pooch plays the boyfriend trying to explain what he was doing with another girl at the party. The video reminds me of an episode of The Game. You can see Derwin running after Melanie. As soon as he gets to the cab I would forgive him...too cute. Oh how I miss The Game!! You can follow Pooch Hall on Twitter (http://twitter.com/pooch_dog).

Click here to see the full video for "What You Do" by Chrisette Michele.

The clip below is of the making of the video. Chrisette Michele's new CD - EPIPHANY is available on Amazon.

The CW Cuts "The Game"

The CW has officially canceled The Game. It's truly a sad day. After an amazing season finale, this smart show gets cut from the CW lineup.

I guess the writing has been on the wall for awhile. When you look at the direction of the other shows on the network like Gossip Girl and 90210 (all of them have a cast directed at teen viewers), The Game really didn't fit the format.

The Game is one of those shows that can still be considered fresh. I hope another network picks them up and gives them the support they deserve. The cast is full of talented actors and their chemistry is on point. The show has a lot of room to grow. I would love to see them have the chance to do more.

Set Your TiVo - The Game (The Fall Of The Roman)

All new episode of The Game airs Friday, May 8 @ 8:30/7:30c on the CW.

Last week was Melanie and Derwin's crazy engagement party. This week, Melanie finds her dream wedding dress but there is a problem. After seeing Kelly moving on (really moving on) with her new boyfriend, Jason wants their daughter to meet his new girlfriend Camille (Stacey Dash).

The Game is a really good show! It's a very smart show with a strong cast. If you haven't seen the show in awhile you need to check it out. You can also follow the show on twitter @ cwthegame.

New Show: Roommates (Premieres Tonight)

Roommates is a new show on ABC Family. The show has a familiar face in the cast...Tamera Mowry (plays Hope). You know Tia and Tamera from Sister Sister. I think it's cool that they both have their own shows now...Tia on The Game and Tamera on Roommates.

Roommates looks like a new version of Friends. Well...this time with a black friend. It looks cute.
Mark has a crush on Katie, so what's he do? Becomes her roommate. Smooth. They also live with Hope, a career woman ... um, without a career. And roomie No. 4, James, has advice for everyone, but he's no better off than anyone. And finally there's Thom, who doesn't live in but hangs out a lot. Hookups, jobs, and other embarrassments keep the laughs coming as five twenty-some-things try to figure it all out.

Lipstick Jungle Back To Back

Last week we had 2 episodes of Lipstick Jungle to enjoy. The first one was Chapter 12: Scary, Scary Night. This was the pre-Halloween episode. Victory has nightmares of Joe falling off a mountain. All of her concern for Joe rekindles their friendship. It was nice to see them reconnecting. Wendy finds out that her friend Sal is taking her old job. She start spending time with one of her son's friends dad, they share a kiss. But it doesn't look like anything is going to come of it. That's good...someone needs to be married. Nico plays hard with the boys as their company goes after a new magazine. Kirby ends up selling a picture to the tabloids to make money to pay for a trip to Aspen. Nico should be glad he wants to pay for things. At least he isn't trying to spend all her money.

Chapter 13: The
Lying, The Bitch and the Wardrobe. This was a really good episode. Wendy goes back to her old job to pitch a movie. She soon finds out that things are not the same. It's hard sitting on the other side of the table getting your ideas picked apart. Nico and Kirby run into Megan (Nico's dead husband's baby mama) on the street. She feels a connection to the baby and want to do something. Looks like someone is thinking about having kids. So she gets the baby a blanket and brings a box of Charles's stuff. I hate to jump shows...but I hope Melanie on The Game and find a soft place in her heart for Derwin's baby. OK...back to Lipstick Jungle.

Victory is finally opening her store with a runway show. Her plans are derailed when she fires her publicist Dahlia (Rosie Perez). As the show is falling apart she calls on her friends to help her get the show back on track...including the hot contractor Rodrigo. Joe decides he wants to propose to Victory...and goes to get a ring...very big ring. Nico is still having problems adjusting to Kirby being a starving artist. After the fashion show, Victory thanks everyone and gives a special thanks to Rodrigo and seals it with a kiss on stage. Joe's feels are hurt and he bounces without talking to Victory. I hope he doesn't do something stupid. In the end, Wendy finds her passion in a script that she got from a girl working in the copy place. Go for it Wendy!! If you watch the full episode, you will see former America's Next Top Model contestant April Wilkner during the fashion show scene.

Remember...Lipstick Jungle has moved to Friday Nights!!
I can't wait for the new episode on November 7th @ 10/9c on NBC. Nico is going to meet Kirby's mom.

Set Your TiVo - The Game

This week on The Game, they are really going to test my girl Melanie.

Hoping to get more publicity for their celebrity marriage, Robin (Robin Givens playing herself) and Malik (Hosea Chanchez) plan a belated wedding reception, but Tasha (Wendy Raquel Robinson) decides to boycott the party since she believes their marriage is a sham and won't support it.

At the reception, Derwin (Pooch Hall) and Melanie (Tia Mowry) must face the reality of their complicated relationship after many people mistakenly congratulate Melanie on her pregnancy. Meanwhile, Rick (Rick Fox playing himself) reluctantly introduces Tasha to his overly protective mother (guest star Penny Marshall), causing fireworks to ensue between the two headstrong women. Additional guest stars include New Orleans Hornets' Chris Paul and actors Tisha Campbell-Martin ("My Wife and Kids") and Duane Martin ("All of Us") who all play themselves in the episode.

Tonight - The Game (Just The Three Of Us)

I can't wait to see tonight's episode of The Game. I want to see how Melanie is going to handle the baby drama. She needs to find a way to accept the baby...but I would get another paternity test after the baby is born. I'm just saying. All new episode of The Game (10/24/08) @ 8:30/7:30c on the CW.
Melanie (Tia Mowry) is jealous of the attention Derwin (Pooch Hall) is giving Janay (guest star Gabrielle Dennis) after he accompanies Janay to her first pregnancy appointment. Kelly (Brittany Daniel) tells Jason (Coby Bell) she thinks it's time to tell their daughter, Brittany (guest star Erica Gluck), about their separation, but he refuses to take part in the conversation, leaving Kelly even more confused about how best to handle the situation.

Set Your TiVo - The Game

All new episode of The Game tonight (10/17/08) @ 8:30/7:30c on the CW.

Although Rick (guest star Rick Fox as himself) is crazy about Tasha and more than ready to go public with their new romance, Tasha (Wendy Raquel Robinson) borderlines on obsessive in her attempt to keep their relationship a secret from their co-workers.

Malik (Hosea Chanchez) begins to realize that his marriage may never have a happy-ever-after when Robin (guest star Robin Givens playing herself) seems more intent on getting publicity for their celebrity marriage than on spending time together as newlyweds.

Melanie (Tia Mowry) and Derwin (Pooch Hall) try to resume their sex life, but Derwin's stress about becoming a father may prove to be too big of a hurdle for the couple to overcome.

Tonight - The Game (Baby On Board)

Here is a clip from Tonight's episode of The Game. New day and time - every Friday @ 8:30 PM on the CW.

This season is going to be so good. Rumors has it that The CW is trying to drop the show. Probably because they are dumping so much money into their rich teen dramas. Those clothes ain't cheap on Gossip Girl, 90210 and Privileged. From the time slot change and little promotion, it's going to up to the fans of The Game to keep it on.

In the clip below,
Melanie (Tia Mowry) confesses to Derwin (Pooch Hall) that she is still in love with him, Derwin shocks her with the news that Janay (guest star Gabrielle Dennis) may be his baby mama. Do you think Melanie is doing the right thing?

What's Next on 'The Game'

Is my favorite couple getting back together??

I was checking out PopCultureJunkie and they posted a pic of Melanie and Derwin kissing. LOVE IT!! I like them as a couple.

The CW website gave these hints for next Sunday's episode entitled - Bury My Heart At Wounded Knee.
  • Derwin is going to get injured before the big game.
  • Jason has to step up and fill in for him (maybe he should have stayed on the steroids).
  • Melanie isn't sure about who she wants to be with.
Next I want to see Tasha get a man and be in a healthy relationship. What do you want to see happen?
