The updated Miss America really didn't seem ground breaking. The addition of a DJ on the stage and the losing contestants passing carbs around wasn't interesting. Here is the break down of the pageant. Top 15 semi-finalist chosen by the judges:

16th finalist chosen by the fans of Reality Check - Miss Utah
After swim suits the ladies are narrowed down to the Top 10. The 6 states that got WACKED were: Miss Florida, Miss Mississippi, Miss Tennessee, Miss South Carolina, Miss Arkansas, Miss Utah (of course she got eliminated...the judges didn't pick her in the first place)
At this point I was done with the pageant...but I stuck it for the sake of the blog. The Top 10 went on to model evening gowns. But only 8 moved on to the talent competition...maybe they should have updated the talent part too...

Q&A portion - The questions came from regular people off the street. But they could have came up with a better way to select who answered which questions. The girl were raising their hands and the host was running back and forth. I guess next year they will have press pit with reporters yelling out questions.

3rd Runner Up ($15,000 scholarship) - Miss Virginia
2nd Runner Up ($20,000 scholarship) - Miss Washington
1st Runner Up ($25,000, scholarship) - Miss Indiana
