Last night the top 3 became the final 2. Haley was voted off American Idol after the hometown visits (clip below). Scotty and Lauren move on to the 2 day finale next Tuesday and Wednesday @ 8/7c on Fox. Who do you think will be the next American Idol?

American Idol's Big Save

I was surprised throughout the entire American Idol results show. Loved seeing Stevie Wonder and Jennifer Hudson perform. It was great that Jennifer had another former Idol contestant George Huff, singing back up for her (good look for him). I was shocked to see Hulk Hogan come out! It was great...I can see James and Paul getting invited to TNA Wrestling after Idol is over. We can't forget to wish Steven Tyler a very Happy Birthday.

The big moment of the night was the fact that Casey was the person with the lowest votes. In the middle of him singing for his chance to stay, the judges cut him off to tell him that they were going to use their one and only save for the season on him (clip below). I like Casey, so I'm glad they kept him. So no one went home this week. All 11 contestant will be on the American Idol Tour this summer. I guess those check are going to be a little smaller with the extra person going on tour. Gotta Love a great TV moment!! Next week America, please vote off one of the girls!!

Idol's Tiffany Rios on Good Day NY

American Idol contestant Tiffany Rios stopped by Good Day New York last week. Greg Kelly was very happy to meet the New Jersey native. Tiffany explains her outfit selection during the auditions. She was so sweet and she even brought cupcakes. That's what I'm talking about...someone must have told her that Greg loves to eat.

This interview (check out the interview below) was before Hollywood week started. So if you watch Idol, then you know the first round was hard for some of the favorites. Tiffany caught many of the other contestants off guard with her comments before her performance. She said something along the lines of being tired of listening to people try to do what she knew she could do. Not really a likable comment in the judges eyes. Thank goodness Tiffany can sing...because she is moving on to the next round. We are still rooting from you in NJ!! #TeamTiffanyRios

American Idol's Newest Star: Tiffany Rios

Dear American Idol,

Thank you for giving me a new season of crazy and talented. The first round of auditions kicked off in New Jersey. JLo slowly got into her new roll as judge. I love Steven Tyler but got a little worried after a few of his comments to the female contestants. I was waiting to see Chris Hanson come around the corner.

But our favorite contestant was Tiffany Rios from Morris Plains, NJ. Meeting her idol Jennifer Lopez was so overwhelming that a hug was necessary. The best part is after the touching story, the judges get an eye full when Tiffany opens her jacket to show off her silver stars. JLo's face...priceless. It's all good because she can sing...and she is going to HOLLYWOOD!! I can't wait to see what surprises are in store as the season continues.

Countdown To Live To Dance

Paula Abdul (Entertainer and former American Idol judge) has a new dance competition show called Live To Dance premiering January 4th on CBS. The winner of the show will take home a $500,000 grand prize. Serving as judges with Paula will be choreographer Travis Payne and former Pussycat Dolls Kimberly Wyatt. I miss seeing Paula on TV so I will definitely have my TiVo set for this show. Maybe I can talk my designated dance show writer to do some recaps.

American Idol or American Stripper Auditions?

This morning as we watched Good Day NY, I wasn't sure what I was watching. American Idol is in Jersey City today doing auditions for the new season. One of my favorite reporters, Julie Chang was out interviewing contestants and family as they wait for their chance to sing for Randy, J-Lo and Steven. Julie got a family to tell a cute story about contestant Tiffany. She is a BIG J-Lo fan!! It was going really good until till Tiffany showed up with sliver stars on her breast. Don't get me wrong, she did have a top on...it was a zebra print bikini top. So Jersey!!! Please let her make it to Hollywood.

Idol Cleans House

American Idol has been busy cleaning house. First, Simon Cowell makes his grand exit last season and now two more judges are leaving. Ellen DeGeneres announced yesterday that she was leaving the show. I didn't mind her leaving the show. And it's not because Paula left....but I really wanted them to have a judge that was a performer/singer to be able to give the contestants incite from that viewpoint.

Now it looks like Kara DioGuardi will not return to the show next season as well. Her contract has not been renewed. I liked Kara because she comes from a song writing background. Nigel Lythgoe, returning American Idol producer and producer/judge of So You Think You Can Dance, did say he would get rid of all the judges. So I guess we shouldn't be surprised.

So this leaves Randy Jackson and Ryan Seacrest on the show. There are a few names that have been rumored to be new judges on Idol like: Bret Michaels, Jennifer Lopez, Steven Tyler and Mary J. Blige. According to TMZ, Idol will go back to the three judge format. I'm happy they are going back to the original format. My picks would be Randy, Bret, and the last seat to go to a female record executive. Who would you like to see in the judges seat?

Lee DeWyze Wins Idol

Congratulation go out to Lee DeWyze for winning American Idol last night. I'm happy...I voted for Lee. Yes, don't judge me...I called in and voted a few times. Not as many times as last season but he isn't from Arkansas. There were many great moments from the show. Janet Jackson made me forget what I was watching (2nd clip). I was ready for the next song. Great seeing Paula come back to say good bye to Simon. But I kinda wanted her to come out on the end of Janet's "Nasty Boys" performance. Remember Paula was in the original video. I loved seeing Bret Michaels performing with Casey!

The final two were Lee DeWyze and Crystal Bowersox. The clip below is the moment when Lee wins American Idol 2010 and then performs "Beautiful Day". You can download the music from the show at iTunes. Look out for the Idol contestants making their way around the country for the summer tour.

Lady Gaga on Idol

Last night, many American Idol fans were shocked to see Aaron Kelly get eliminated. Now they are down to the final 4...Big Mike, Casey, Crystal and Lee. Jamie Foxx will be on next week to work with the top four doing movie music.

If you missed it, check out Lady Gaga on the American Idol stage performing her new single 'Alejandro' from her sophomore album "The Fame Monster". Only Lady Gaga can come out during prime-time in a fishnet outfit with patches of lace.

Big Save For Big Mike

Last night on American Idol, the big shocker was that Big Mike was the one to be eliminated. In an even bigger shocker, the judges use their pass to save him. So we will see Big Mike next week...but 2 idol contestant will go home next week.

Kris Allen Wins American Idol

We have a new American Idol...Kris Allen!!! In another American Idol shocker, the underdog (or the person with less hype) takes home the top spot in America's heart. The 23 year-old from Conway, Arkansas looked surprised as Ryan Seacrest called his name.

OK...I'm a Kris fan. My friends laughed at me as I voted for Kris on one phone while carrying on a conversation on the other one. I know it was my votes that pushed Kris over...LOL. What was your favorite moment from the finale? I'm going with Kara vs. Bikini Girl.

American Idol And Keggers

What does American Idol and Keggers have in common? Well...it's Anoop.

I find it interesting that every time I hear people talking about Anoop Desai's performances on American Idol, they say he is letting frat boys pick his songs and should be at a college kegger. I don't know when or how all of this started...but it just seems like a lot of build up for a bad joke. Like they are laying the ground work to compare him to the Harold & Kumar movies. So instead of waiting...I just did it for them.

American Idol airs Tuesdays 8/7c and Wednesdays 9/8c on Fox. Tune in tonight to see if Anoop moves on to the next round.

Idol Fan Rage

I must say then even I was shocked that Jamar Rogers was cut last night from American Idol. He received a lot of air time, and the judges commentary were all positive until they just cast him aside after allowing leading favorite and Jamar's best friend, Danny Gokey. On one hand I did feel shaky about his last performance of Hey There Delilah and more so after hearing Ju'not sing it with a more definitive soul-influence. However, I was still confident he would have made it to the Top 36. We all knew Danny would make it. Especially after he sang Kiss From A Rose. Anyone that has played that song on SingStar knows that is one bitch of a song.

Anywho, all internet forums from American Idol's official site to no-name sites to MSN.com agree that Jamar was robbed. If you are a fan of Jamar, be dedicated and show some love on "his" Myspace. Good luck, Jamar! It's safe to say there are hundreds and even thousands of people hopping someone else gets disqualified so that you can return to the stage... dirty truth. Holla, if you come to the Chi!

Judging The New Judge

Kara DioGuardi, the new judge on American Idol....love her!!

But not in a crazy stalker with a pink cowboy hat way. I don't understand why people are hating on Kara. I like her style. It was very refreshing to see her on American Idol. I think it was a well thought out selection and I don't mind having 4 judges at the table. Let us know what you think.
