Finally…A Black Disney Princess

Disney has released some of the art work for the 2009 release of “The Princess and the Frog”. The main character is Princess Tiana (voiced by Anika Noni Rose from Dreamgirls). She will be the 9th official and the first black Disney Princess. About Time!!!

The animated film is based in New Orleans, LA. Disney describes the film as a: "From the heart of Louisiana's mystical bayous and the banks of the mighty Mississippi comes an unforgettable tale of love, enchantment, and discovery with a soulful singing crocodile, voodoo spells, and Cajun charm at every turn."

I hope Disney treats this movie the same way they do their other films. At least another job has opened up in the park for the black girls that work there. I wish this would have been out when I was working at Disney World.
