If I Were King aired last night on MTV. The documentary (more like a commercial) following Diddy as he prepares the Sean John collection for NY Fashion Week. MTV describes it as "a cutting edge and racially conscious collection." Diddy makes the decision to use all black male models to walk the runway. You get to see the design process, staff flying overseas, looking of fabrics, planning the show, casting models, rushing to finish everything and of course the fashion show. Yes...you get to see Diddy yelling at people (flashes of Russell Simmons...thats a compliment). But just went its about to get good thats when the cameras stop.
I loved the fact that Tyson closed the show!! I wish they would have showed the fashion show in real time...but it was good to be able to really look at the clothes. The over all fashion show looked amazing. If you missed If I Were King you can watch it online @ MTV.com or wait for the re-air on MTV Saturday, April 12 @ 2 PM ET.
