Christmas Movies – The Perfect Holiday - Opens Dec. 12 & This Christmas - In Theaters Now. Following the success of all of Tyler Perry's movies (i.e. Why Did I Get Married) the holiday season has brought us 2 new movies. Sweaters for everyone...and don't forget to wear it at Sunday dinner or in this case...Christmas dinner.


The first one is "This Christmas" - starring Chris Brown, David Banner, Regina King, Loretta Devine, Columbus Short, Mekhi Phifer and Nia Long. The story for a Soul Food like family during the holidays. All the kids are coming home for Christmas...which should be a good thing. Everyone brings their secrets and drama home causing problems. It's always good to have a random R&B singer in the family so someone can sing.


The second movie is "The Perfect Holiday" - starring Morris Chestnut, Gabrielle Union, Charlie Murphy, Faizon Love, Katt Williams, Queen Latifah and Terrence Howard. Classic casting with a lot of familiar faces in this movie. Nothing like a love story for the holidays...well kinda. A rapper's baby momma wants a man for Christmas. She ends up dating a mall Santa Claus...but don't worry Morris Chestnut is under that minimum wage beard. There are a few Home Alone moments with the kids.

Most people didn't realize that there were 2 movies out. These movies may not become classic holiday movies...but maybe BET will pick them up next year.
