The couples had to perform twice last night on So You Think You Can Dance! The show was pretty packed and there wasn't an obvious fail, so I'm only going to focus on the highlights. My favorite routine was probably the last routine of the night -- a Jazz routine by Wade for Brandon and Janette. It had a cartoonish-thief motif, and I just love Wade. Awkward routine award goes to the Russian folk dance that Phillip and Jeanine performed. Judges agreed they were good in it, but it was just not much to say. I think the couples that ended with the most negative critique were: Evan & Randi (mostly Evan in both) and Kupono & Kayla (in Broadway routine). Probably any couple, but Brandon and Janette could be in the bottom three. Ade & Melissa even had some falters this week. It might be their time to dance for their lives. Evan & Randi have ridden Evan's popularity this far, but the judges love to rag on him. I think its their time to dance vs. Jason & Caitlin or Phillip & Jeanine.
Overall it seems like the girls are stronger dancers than the guys, but the only girl I feel that has a personality that even comes close to compare with the guys is Janette-- possibly Jeanine (her solo last week was probably that good). I don't know how to fix that but the girls need to figure it out now if they want to take the prize and not just settle for Top 4.
