The Grammy nominations are out with a spectical that I didn't even watch. Last night the Grammy's had a televised concert to celebrate their judgements on music made in the past year. I saw Mariah Carey NOT sing "All I Want For Christmas" and tuned out shortly after. Lil Wayne leads the pack with the most nominations, but Coldplay, Kanye West, Ne-Yo, & Jay-Z all stand a chance to win big as well. Apparently British Neo-Soul is still strong on the Grammy radar with Adele, Duffy, and Estelle representing in the absence of Amy Winehouse. Leona Lewis also stands a chance to win big for team Britain and Reality TV winners. Although I love "Chasing Pavements" by Adele, I really really really want Diplo to win Record of the Year for M.I.A.'s "Paper Planes". The track is still hot, and Diplo is a great live experience. If he is in a town near you, go see his show-- even if you have to wake up for work the next day.
