Where Is The Love West Coast?

Last night's challenge on Randy Jackson presents: America's Best Dance Crew was all about speed. Boogie Bots went first with a mix of Lollipop by Lil Wayne. Sadly the song seemed to be bigger than the Bots, and they looked they jacked silver versions Kaba Modern's Thriller costume. Super Cr3w danced to Creator by Santogold. They stayed hip hop with a graffiti-public statue theme, but it didn't top their past dances. Too bad they couldn't have switched songs with Boogie Bots, I think that would have helped both crews.

ASIID once again jump started the show's energy (and positive critiques) dancing to Dangerous by Kardinal Offishall ft. Akon. Theme was a loose take on cops and female criminals who happen to dance ballet and like to swing dance? Well, it made sense visually. SoReal grooved to another slow jam, With U by Chris Brown. It was good, but the judges pointed out that they seemed to get lost in the fast section. They have probably been the most consistent crew on the show. However I think it's becoming a rut that they need to rise above. The other crews seem to fight harder. Fanny Pak (top photo-from MTV.com) was amazing last night to a mix of Touch My Body by Mariah Carey. It was an 80's prom theme that worked really well, and the theme itself (angry rebel spikes the punch) provided a transition to the fast section. Phresh Select and Supreme Soul found themselves in the bottom two this week. Phresh Select danced to Shawty Is A 10 by The-Dream as nerds hoping to seduce/impress a mannequin which was okay. It wasn't the worst of the night.

No doubt fueled by the shock of being in the bottom two,
Supreme Soul (bottom photo-from MTV.com) shut it down with Party Like Rock Star by Shop Boyz. What happened to them? Talk about one hit wonder. They came hard last night, even though they seemed out sync in a couple of places- no one cared nor should have cared. The best was the "Rock Star" finishing pose which came out perfect. I predict that Boogie Bots will go home next week if they find themselves in the bottom. For some reason Fanny and Supreme keep falling in the bottom half. If you like them, start voting and then vote again.

Next week is a Janet Jackson challenge which makes me nervous for Super Cr3w. It will probably force them to do choreography and could expose them if they can't get it together in time. It might be a special week for the crews without girls!
Youtube That Shit awards go to Fanny Pak and Supreme Soul. Viacom has been aggressive with taking down videos, so you should probably just go to MTV's site to check out the dances.
