Reporting Live From Gotham

Right now I am experiencing a Batman: Dark Knight induced hangover. This movie is LONG (2 hr 32 min), especially when you go to the midnight show and it starts 20 minutes late! It ended at 3am then I still had to get home. Despite all that it was worth it. It was great movie. If you are even just slightly intrigued and have comic-book-movie phobia, it shouldn't disappoint.

I can't lie and say I am a huge Heath Ledger fan, so I can't say it was the role of his lifetime like some reviewers. However I can say he did a damn good job as the Joker. Comic book Joker is a true psycho that killed the second Robin in a really F--ed up way, and thats the Joker that Heath brought to the screen. He straight up scared me in parts of the movie. I don't do scary-- like at all. So horror-movie addicts, you shouldn't get too excited.

As far as the cast, everyone was good. It wasn't weird seeing Maggie Gyllenhall replace Katie Holmes. Aaron Eckhart was a good Harvey Dent. So in short, go see the movie. Sneak in a jacket. The A/C will be kickin' your ass before this movie ends.
