Here are the top 3 designers from the 1st challenge:
1. Kelli Martin from Ohio made a statement with her bleached and dyed vacuum bag skirt. As the winner of the first challenge she is going to be one to watch.
2. Daniel Feld created an amazing dress out of plastic cups. He has impressed the judges with is creativity.
3. Korto Momolu-Briggs is originally from Liberia but now is in Little Rock, Arkansas. It's an Arkansas thang. She did some great work in the first challenge...so good she was in the top 3. I hope she can stick it out...but it looks like she will be crying soon.
But every design wasn't good. The first person to be sent home was Jerry. I know some of you want a full recap so I'm sharing one of my favorite blogs with you. I love reading David Dust's recap of Project Runway. It's very entertaining!! You have to go see how truly fabulous it is.
Check out this snippet from David Dust's Blog:
Blayne is working Jerell’s last gay nerve by saying the word “girlicious” at least 400 times. Jerell wants Orange Blayne to pack up the “licious” and “take it to the girl next door”. Jerell also jokes that maybe the NEXT challenge will ALSO start at Gristedes. At this point I wouldn’t put it past Bravo and the producers.
